Basic but superb location and perfectly matched facilities
seemed to have an awful lot of trainees maybe due to being the off season
Just returned back from our holiday, Staff were really unhelpful and not professional behaviour, toilet was leaking for 3 days and no one came to fix it despite repeated complaints. They made us pay for complementary water bottle from their fridge and when we tried to explain they threatened us with calling security and police. I paid 32 RG for 2 bottles as we were getting late for our flight back to singapore.
Leaking toilet, Mosquito roaming around in room and staff starring at you as they not seen any one for days.
The restaurants and bar were quite nice. The rooms were clean and a great place to stay for families and honemooners!
The Place was very far from town and shops for even basic amenities. You had no choice but to eat at the hotel restaurant as everything else was a 20 min taxi ride away!
The superior sea view cabana's provide a breathtaking view of the sea. If you love nature, then this is the room for you.Truly a room with view. The rental bikes are available just outside the hotel. The breakfast was also good. The hotel is very close to the sky bridge and the seven wells. The beach is extensive and the pool is large. The spa was great too.
Yes there are plumbing issues as the property is a bit old.But then again....it is not all that bad. The view from the superior seaview cabana and the money you pay more than makes up for it.
Excellent sea side location, good cleanliness of room, comfort and value for money If I want to come langkawi, second time i will be stay Mutiara burau bay beach resort ,
given the wrong rooms but where changed the next day
The hotel had good facilities, nice pool and beach and the food was lovely. It had everything we were looking for in terms of a beach resort hotel, and we even got to see monkeys sat outside our window in the morning. compared to other places we have been to, there were always plenty of sun loungers at both the pool and beach so there was plenty of space for everyone
The cleaners moved rubbish out of the room onto the balcony where it was left sat there for 2 days without being collected. On a couple of occasions we had to ask for drinks at the bar in the seashell restaurant a couple of times before they actually turned up as the staff were too busy talking to each other.
The Mutuara was a great value option for staying in Langkawi with individual hut rooms that were well equipt and gave a sense of privacy. It wasn't over developed and was surrounded in trees. It was quite remote versus the main tourist areas so had a more peaceful feel to it.
There were a couple of things, first be aware it isn't close to the main bars and restaurant areas, you will need a car or taxi to get there (15mins) so dining out and entertainment is fairly limited. Also my airport transfer / taxi organised by the resort did not turn up, and I had room service not turn up either on the same night either which wasn't great. Not too much of a drama, but they never told me, and two hours later I found out they couldn't deliver it and the kitchen was now closed. It would have been annoying if I was really hungry! I had an opportunity to look at other resorts while in Langkawi, I recommend the Frangipani for the pool, beach and location over Mutiara. I had looked at it also and wished I had booked it.
all is not good , they want money from any one who want stay there. they are very layer .
Employees must be smiling that more special staff restaurants where n no smile and no Johmm lizard in rooms
Cabana: When reading lots of reviews about the rooms being old, we were tempted to cancel the booking, but after seeing some pics on Trip Advisor we could see the huts weren't all that bad. Yes, they could do with an upgrade as the decor reminds you somewhat of the 80's, but really...everything works and is clean. The resort makes it feel a lot less hotel like as you have your own veranda to sit on and enjoy the views/monkeys/lizards and birds. We had no bugs whatsoever, in general in Langkawi the few bugs we've seen were flies or mozzies. Location: Great if you like the quiet. We hired a car and so could get around the island to see stuff, myr 600 for 7 days is what we paid. From the beach you can reach the Harbour with quite a few restaurants. 'Privilege' is a very good recommendation we got from Trip Advisor! Also on a walk away from Oriental Village/Cable Car plus the Seven Wells are a short ride from the resort. Seashell Cafe: Great entertainment and good prices on Cocktail of the Day, food also very good. Breakfast: lots of choice. Beach..best one in the area, really calm and stunning, you can rent jetski's however they don't bother you when sunbathing or swimming. Free Wifi in the lobby, which can reach the lovely pool if you're lucky. Staff: All very nice and helpful! Loved it, would definitely recommend it if you don't expect a 5 star room :-)
The location of the hotel was very near from the beach and from the cable car it was also near from the waterfalls and it was adventure to go and see the seven eyes
The bugs and the ansicts and too many larg lizards around the hotel and near the room
Almost everything was perfect
1.The breakfast juice was spoilt (it was like a sparkling wino) . 2.July 23,Barbecue at the evening : crabs was spoiled, had some stinky smell
mr kamal the manager is great man and respect the people and the position of hotel is sharming
only the sea wave
the room very old and olso the furniture in old the staff is unhelpfull
